Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about VelocityX Racing.

What do I need to play?

A modern web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device. No downloads or installations are required.

How are my race times saved?

Your best lap times and leaderboard positions are stored in your browser's localStorage. This means they are saved on your device and are not shared unless you choose to submit them.

Can I reset the leaderboard?

Yes. To clear all saved data, open your browser's developer console and run the command: localStorage.clear(). This will reset your scores and settings.

What controls are supported?

Use the Arrow Keys (Up/Down) for acceleration and braking. On mobile, tap controls will be available. We are working on adding gamepad support.

How is performance on older devices?

VelocityX is highly optimized to run at 60 FPS on a wide range of hardware. While newer devices provide the best experience, it is designed to be playable even on modest laptops and phones.
